August Meeting

August Meeting

North County Reef & Marine Aquarium Society has been resurrected. The first meeting of the society will be held at a fellow reefers house in Fallbrook. The address will be released closer to the date of the meeting.

The NCRMAS has been a free society in the past which has used raffles to raise money for expenses. With the new prospective board members having met, it was decided that this was the best way to continue, and NCRMAS will remain free to all!

At these meetings we hope to give reefers the opportunity to get together, meet new people, and share knowledge and skills helpful in the hobby. Some of the topics we will cover through these meetings are things like, “how to properly frag”, “water parameters, testing, and correcting”.

Some other things to look forward to are, the new NCRMAS website. This site will contain articles written by YOU the members, it will contain exclusive for sale items for NCRMAS members only, and a photo gallery to show off your “ocean in a glass.”

We hope to make a great turn out for this and wake up the North County reefing community. This is a great hobby. It is truly a gift to have a piece of gods creation for all to view in our living rooms. Alot of the great reefs around the world are bleaching and the coral is becoming extinct. Guess who will have the last pieces of these coral, the last hope for repopulating the ocean with these wonders??? REEFERS!!!!

See you guys at the meeting!

Actual meeting starts at noon, I’m just opening up the house for members to relax and hang out before hand. We could always start up the BBQ and start some early lunch before the meeting gets under way, or anyone is more than welcome to jump in the pool for a bit (just bring a change of clothes, I have towels).
